Animoto is easy to use and there's nothing to download or install on your computer. Here's an Animoto video created by author Julie Hahnke in just a single afternoon!

Contest Rules

• The contest runs from Feb 15 through Apr 15, 2011
• Create an Animoto music video via the link on this page. Your video must include the pre-seeded images (not including the instructions.)
• The soundtrack must be Read On! by von Grey.
• The video must be at least 90 seconds in length (including end credits)
• Finalists will be chosen based on total views on Animoto's site
• Don't use inappropriate content

The Prizes

• The winning school will receive twenty-five autographed copies of The Grey Ghost, twenty-five autographed von Grey CD's, a bundle of educational software from FableVision Learning, a gift card from IndieBound redeemable at an independent bookstore of choice, and a set of autographed books personally inscribed to the school from some of today's top children's/teen authors and illustrators.
• Finalists will receive an autographed von Grey poster and Read On! poster, and will be showcased on the following Web sites: FableVision Learning.com, JulieHahnke.com, and vonGrey.com.

It's easy to enter and no purchase is required. There are three simple steps:

1 - Create

Teachers, first apply for your educator's promo code (it should be instantaneous.) Then "Sign Up" for the Basic (free) service. When you create your account, add the educator's promo code into the appropriate field. That should give you All-Access free for 6 months.

Click on the Create My Video button on this page (below) to create your video. The soundtrack, the required images, and instructions are already loaded into your project. Add text screens, your own images, your own animated or video clips (10 seconds or less each), and sequence them in the order you'd like. Animoto will do the rest! Note that each re-mix will be unique, so keep trying until you get the results you want.

Fill in the information below and copy and paste your video's link into the URL field. Submissions must be made by a school faculty member or administrator (please use your school e-mail address.) One submission per school, please!
